topic CDRECORD executable file in Operating System - OpenVMS

Our DS25 box comes with a DVD-CD/RW drive. I find the CDRCORD open source file from freeware, but the files need C compiler to compile to executive file. We do not have C compiler in our VMS systems. What is the right way to get the CDRECORD image?

VMS version?

If you want an old one, try something like:

ALP $ mcr cdrecord -version
Cdrecord 1.10 (Alpha/VAX-CPQ-VMS/OpenVMS) Copyright (C) 1995-2001 Jörg Schilling

That's on V7.3-2.

You may not have to compile/build the freeware version. Just check to see if your VMS version already has it...

$ DIR SYS$SYSTEM:CDRECORD.EXE

if so then just do $ MC CDRECORD.
