Thanks for this forum. Anything to shine some much deserved light on VMS is a good thing.

Now a minor nit.

Could system administration be changed to system management please. Otherwise, I'll have to take a sharpie to all my VMS doc. ;-)

I'm looking for work - I've gotten so used to calling myself a system administrator, that I've forgotten what a system manager is. :-)

Seriously, most people (outside of folks involved in VMS) think a system manager is someone who manages sysadmins.

Not a bad idea and I'll take some of the blame here. The group that picked the catagory names simply followed what we thought would be the most likely topics from other forums.

I understand others are called administrators these days, but I'm used to system manager and like it better.

Besides, it easy to change to mangler, which for some is a better description! :)
