Open VMS Alpha Cpu nor configured

Hi

This system has 4 cpu' (for years)
on this moment only cpu 0 is running.
The other systems are not configured

Has anybody a clue why these cpu's are not configured. Should i run autogen again to get these cpu's in service again.

problem is that this is a production system.

No it is not.

It is a 3 member cluster, i checked the licenses and they are correct filled in.

The cpu licenses are loaded on this system correctly.

When was this system last rebooted? Did it have 4 CPUs running after that boot? Most likely not. Can you go back to your console log and look?

If you can shut this system down, check the console variable cpu_enabled. Maybe the other CPUs were disabled.

On no evidence and assuming (and this is a big assumption) that no one has messed around with the bootstrap or with the licenses, this smells like bad or flaky hardware.

Check the EV6 pass, too; if you don't have 2.5 or better, start there. Details:

It looks to me like CPU0 may have been upgraded to an EV67 at some point and the other CPU's are probably still older CPU's that are not compatible with the EV67 CPU. If you look at the CPU section under type, CPU1-3 are listerd as "Invalid" which indicates a compatibility issue with CPU0.

If I were you I would do what Hoff said and call support on this.
