Hello,

another colleague having his Graduation Party!!

All the best to Willem from the Netherlands. He is almost exclusively participating in the OpenVMS area and from what I gather also active in "real life" VMS user groups. Thanks for all your help here and on to Hogwarts!

I wish that you find a job one day that suits you well ;-)

It is too bad that OpenVMS isn't perfect, so if you stay in this area I am afraid you will not get completely satisfied. On the other hand I would say this is usually still more enjoyable than some other (e.g. Winwoes related) jobs in the industry - I have chatted with a project manager from another company this day and she told me some horror stories, oh oh oh.

Uwe, I interpret his motto differently:
"Give me a job that suits me and I'll never have to work again". He may just have that 'job' and he is just having a good time, not 'working'. Much like me!

One day I saw this sentence in an advertisement (in Dutch) and I liked it. Not that my current job is exactly what I want but normally, it's good enough at most times(It's VMS based development and that helps).
And there is my own machine!

I never stated VMS to be perfect, luckily it isn't, this gives me some drive to dig into it sometimes - and learn even more. That's what I use these forums for!

Ik heb (gelukkig) weinig met VMS te maken, dus heb ik weinig van je posts gezien, maar er zijn mensen in de chatzone die mij attent maken op dit soort felicitaties, en melden dat de gelukkige misschien ook zo'n mooi plaatje op prijs stelt.
