Non-txt email attachments don't work

I am using the latest release of the OpenVMS Alpha Sea Monkey browser and E-mail client and I have noticed that files that have an extension other than .txt do not get sent properly as attachments to E-mails that I send. What ends up happening is that the text of the E-mail to which I attached the files becomes the contents of the attachments. When composing the E-mail message, there is no error indication when selecting the non-text files (i.e. the selected files show up in the attachments list as you would expect). The attachments just don't seem to be sent correctly when the E-mail client generates the output stream for the E-mail.

Has anyone gotten this to work? Is there some configuration of MIME types required somewhere in order to get non-txt attachments to be properly formed in the resulting E-mail stream?

I've never tried SWB for e-mail before, but
it seems to work (that is, fail) for me as it
does for you.

On the bright side, "Netscape Navigator TM
Gold Version 3.03" still can do it.

Of course, "MIME Version: V1.93" is still
junk, not preserving file name case
('filename="vv.c"' was extracted as
"VV.C;1"), and leaving "MIME$_xxx"
temporary-file clutter. But I digress.
