Does anyone know if OpenVMS is used in China.
In which industries/areas is OpenVMS used in China.

Yes, in many places.

Shanghai Stock Exchange and Hong Kong Jockey Club come to mind, both in the gambling industry. :-) :-)

Most definitely. I taught an OpenVMS systems programming class in Beijing a while back. That was a company that based its OpenVMS software development in China. I believe HP also has some software development people based there.

There are also various development centers in China which are either developing systems to use OpenVMS or developing applications to run on OpenVMS.

I support a few systems in China and they are in Manufacturing. We are using 7.3-2 and are working on a tech refresh and will be going to 8.3.
