OpenVMS CD Write Error

Has anyone seen this error writing a CD on OpenVMS 8.3-1H1?

I know that we were able to write CD's when this system was first installed but we've thrown a couple of update patches at it since then.

There's a patch for pretty much this exact error for VMS v8.3 but not one for 8.3-1H1 that I can find.

The server is an Integrity Rx6600 with an Optiarc DVD RW AD-5590A USB CD.

When last I checked, USB-based recording was suffering from an error in the DNDRIVER IO$_DIAGNOSE processing path.

The usual answer applies: call HP support.

It might be that the drive doesn't recognize the CD-medium properly. Try another brand to see what happens.
You may try DVDwrite that is free and works with USB-drives, too (see www.dvdwrite.de).
