No.

VMS has no firewall, so VMS does not and cannot block port 8080.

Your Tomcat or JBoss stuff probably tipped over, if this is VMS and if this is a recent version of VMS and if this is related to that Tomcat stuff you were asking about a while back.

Or Apache isn't configured for port 8080, or it tipped over, if you're using 8080 for Apache traffic.

if this is a question about remote access into a VMS server running (something) on port 8080, then that usually involves port-forwarding or VPNs or possibly (less desirably) remapping port 8080 to another port.

What, exactly, are you trying to do?
What, exactly, does not work?
On what, exactly, are you trying to do
whatever you are trying to do?

I am using Tomcat 6 months working perfectly.
Three days ago is trying to load the web page.
Change tomcat to port 8085 and it works fine.
The port 8080 is is trying to load the Web page all the time.

So what changed?

The Apache configuration?

The Tomcat configuration?

Some VMS or Apache patch that was loaded?

Something else what was loaded or upgraded?

Does a system reboot help?

Disk failure or hardware errors?

Missing or incorrect logical name?

Some certificate expirations?

Network-level changes within your organization, or within the network connection between the client and your server?

Have you checked the Apache and Tomcat logs for clues?

You've tried walking through the installation instructions, confirming that the system is set-up as described, too?

Hello Alex,

Please do refer to :http://h71000.www7.hp.com/doc/732final/6631/6631pro_contents.html#toc_chapter_1 to learn how to resolve TCP/IP issues in case you are using HP tcp ip stack. If you are using some other TCP IP stack eg Multinet , you might want to consult the vendors documentation as well. Is is likely that some other application is using that port. But there is very little info available currently to proceed.

To solve the problem down the server and port 8080 was released, apparently some processes were occupying the port.
