Hello,

Another one earns the wizard hat ;-)
Ian has gone at Hogwarts driving only a vms train and he's proud of this.
At next level a crown will wait for his head.
I don't know him in person and I'm sorry of this but I know he's skilled boy; I hope meet him sometime at any bootcamp or in a wine bar.
Ian opened some interesting vms thread and the oldest active thread :-O
He can find any solution for any your vms problem.

Ian, thank for good time you dedicated us.

thank you for your kind words. I've always wanted to be a VMS Wizard and now in one way I am one :-)

I will be at the bootcamp in Nashua in May and will try to find some decent beer in the hotel bar.

I find the time I spent here well worth it as it's highly educational and gives me exposure to a wider range of problems than I would otherwise encounter. From a professional point of view this makes me a better VMS system support person.

As anybody who knows me will say I am a dedicated vms fanatic and intend to continue to promte the best operating system in the world!

And about that beer:

my cheers to you will have to be entirely virtual, but next week I'll be at ENSA in Muenchen/Bayern (in Enlish: Munich/Bavaria) and I will have one (at least) for you.
And about the beers in Nashua: at the hotel bars they have various choices, and I am sure at least one of them will be to your taste.

Special word to the Dutch that have already congratulated you: You NERDS! This is a national holiday, and this concerns your WORK!.

But here I am answering questions on a Saturday evening from home (but then again I am a VMS fanatic :-) I'm just waiting for a compile to to be done on my home AlphaVMS box. Saturday night TV is never any good).
