      <title>Question: Alpha4100 - old machine</title>

      <description>i want to check the Alpha4100 memory size. and now, one MMB is in my hand(MEM0L). but i cannot find any information about memory size on it. i can see two big modules and lots of small modules on the MMB. anybody knows how to check the memory size from physical hardware ?&lt;BR /&gt;it's urgent! thanks in advance !  &lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>1. Put the memory back in, boot and type &amp;gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt; show memory.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2. Look at the memory card, and report any numbers that look like B3020-xx , B3030-xx, B3032-xx or MS320-xx or MS330-xx or MS332-xx. Tell us what the -xx is, and all will be revealed.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;q&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>hehe, the question is that this machine cannot be boot up&lt;BR /&gt;never mind, i have find the part no. on MMB&lt;BR /&gt;but another questiion&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;what's the difference between B3030-FA and B3030-FH ? they are both 512M, aren't they?</description>

      <description>I found sites that list the FH module as 512MB&lt;BR /&gt;and some that say 1GB -- I suspect it is indeed&lt;BR /&gt;512MB.  I haven't yet found anything to indicate&lt;BR /&gt;manufacturer details.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Dave&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You do not have to boot the machine, just power up. If it is set to autoboot, hit ^P (CTRL-P) to interrupt. The only connections you need are ower and a console (PC with terminal emulator is Ok)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If powering up is no option either, then you have to rely on partnumbers inded.</description>
