DECnet phase IV works fine on Itanium.

Did you try rebooting before configuring DECnet Phase IV? DECnet Plus has an implementation of NCP that is supposed to ease the transition between the two, but it may not support all functions, and you may still get the old one until a reboot has been done.

Has HP officially announced not supporting DECnet Phase IV on Itanium?
We just received a new Itanium box loaded with OpenVMS 8.2 and DECnet Plus.
I tried to install DECnet phase IV from the CD because the procedure failed during the initial configuration due to my incorrect response.
While installing, I was prompted to remove the DECnet Plus which I did and then installed Phase IV. The installation went fine but then when I try to do netconfig I get a whole bunch of messages that the system management operation is not supported. Please see attachment.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks,
Malleka

I'm curious why you are sticking with DECnet IV?
