i have ever used open vms last 3 years ago
and now tomorrow i have to installation microvax 3100-40 i forgot

Are you planning to install VMS onto a clean
disk, or are you planning to restore an old
(/IMAGE?) BACKUP tape?

Hi azeemunix4,

Looks like you are planning to restore OpenVMS from a backup saveset on tape.

Commands-
$ MOUNT/FOR
$ BACKUP/IMAGE :/SAVE

Check the DCL help for more details -
$ HELP MOUNT/FOREIGN
$ HELP BACKUP/IMAGE

Are you using ABS/MDMS for the backup's ??
If yes, then you have execute the ABS/MDMS RESTORE request corresponding to the IMAGE restore of the OpenVMS saveset.

Image restore will initialize the disk. If you are restoring it on to the disk containing some user data then the data will be initialized.
