      <title>Oracle JDBC driver with CSWS_JAVA T2.1</title>

      <description>Has anyone used the Oracle JDBC (Oracle9i 9.2.0.3 for JDK 1.4) drivers with the&lt;BR /&gt;CSWS_JAVA T2.1 Beta Kit?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I placed the the file ojdbc14.jar file in the directory [APACHE.JAKARTA.TOMCAT.common.lib],&lt;BR /&gt;and restarted Tomcat. The processed failed and I get the following messages...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;Stopping initiated&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;java.util.zip.ZipException: error in opening zip file&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;        at java.util.zip.ZipFile.open(Native Method)&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;        at java.util.zip.ZipFile.&lt;INIT&gt;(ZipFile.java)&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;        at java.util.jar.JarFile.&lt;INIT&gt;(JarFile.java)&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;        at java.util.jar.JarFile.&lt;INIT&gt;(JarFile.java)&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;        at org.apache.catalina.loader.StandardClassLoader.addRepositoryInternal(&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;StandardClassLoader.java)&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;        at org.apache.catalina.loader.StandardClassLoader.&lt;INIT&gt;(StandardClassLo&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;ader.java)&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;        at org.apache.catalina.startup.ClassLoaderFactory.createClassLoader(Clas&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;sLoaderFactory.java)&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;        at org.apache.catalina.startup.Bootstrap.main(Bootstrap.java)&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;Bootstrap: Class loader creation threw exception&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: addRepositoryInternal: java.util.zip.ZipExce&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;ption: error in opening zip file&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;        at org.apache.catalina.loader.StandardClassLoader.addRepositoryInternal(&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;StandardClassLoader.java)&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;        at org.apache.catalina.loader.StandardClassLoader.&lt;INIT&gt;(StandardClassLo&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;ader.java)&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;        at org.apache.catalina.startup.ClassLoaderFactory.createClassLoader(Clas&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;sLoaderFactory.java)&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt; at org.apache.catalina.startup.Bootstrap.main(Bootstrap.java)  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I was able to unpack the jar file from the DCL prompt using the following steps&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;$ define/nolog DECC$ARGV_PARSE_STYLE   ENABLE &lt;BR /&gt;$ define/nolog DECC$EFS_CASE_PRESERVE  ENABLE &lt;BR /&gt;$ define/nolog DECC$EFS_CASE_SPECIAL   ENABLE &lt;BR /&gt;$ define/nolog DECC$EFS_CHARSET        ENABLE&lt;BR /&gt;$&lt;BR /&gt;$ jar xf ojdbc14.jar&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am using OpenVMS 7.3-1 and Java 1.4.1 &lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/INIT&gt;&lt;/INIT&gt;&lt;/INIT&gt;&lt;/INIT&gt;&lt;/INIT&gt;</description>

      <description>To elaborate on Willems suggestion, the archive should look like this&lt;BR /&gt;File organization:  Sequential&lt;BR /&gt;Record format:      Stream_LF, maximum 512 bytes, longest 512 bytes&lt;BR /&gt;Record attributes:  Carriage return carriage control&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If it does not look like this the following command might fix it:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;$set file/attr=(RFM:STMLF,RAT:CR)&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
