Hi Bryan,

from your posting I do gather that you already have the MS patch on one test system. What keeps you from installing the VMS RPC patch similarly on a VMS test system?

Else it might be time to open a support call...

Greetings, Martin

I have an OpenVMS 7.3-1 system that accesses an OPC server on a Windows 2000 machine using DCOM.

This works until the above mentioned Microsoft patch is installed. After the installation, communication fails with the error code 0xee1281b2 (I can't find the message for this error code)

I can't find any information on the ITRC site that specifically says RPC_V0[234]00 fixes this issue.

Does anyone else have this problem?

--bryan

The problem is that 828741 _causes_ problems on the OpenVMS side. I cannot install the M$ patch until the VMS side is similarly patched. I can't find any information to indicate whether the HP RPC patch is compatible with 828741.
