Perl script doesn't create directories on OpenVMS 7.3-1

I know nothing about perl, I downloaded a perl script from perl.org which was to autocreation of directories in OpenVMS, but it doesn't seem to do this anyone have any hints?

Would it be too much to ask to post eithe rthe source code in question or a clear and unambiguous pointer the download address you used?

Also it might be useful if you tell us which version of Perl you are using (perl -v will print it in case you are not sure)
