I’m desperately looking for some documentation on VAXLINK. Does anyone know where I can find some? I’m trying to write a DCL procedure that will transfer a file from an Alpha to a third party site but have no documentation on what VAXLINK commands to use. He

Have you Googled VAXLINK? I found many references including some documentation for Reflection which is the PC package that incorporates VAXLINK.

Pat,

Given that VAXLINK is part of Reflection, I don't
believe you can use it as a standalone program
for file transfers.
Any reason why you can't use FTP or Kermit?

Pat,
as stated, VAXLINK is part of Reflections Transfer and as far as I know can't be used without it.

If you are running Reflections, I can send you some scripts to automatically start transfers.

Thank you all for your comments! It sounds like VAXLINK is not going to work for me. I have written several DCL procedures using VAXLINK to transfer files from a user's PC to an Alpha in conjunction with Reflection.
However, since the file I need is on another server, not the user's PC, I'll have to go with FTP. Thank you all!
