    <description>Tom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;  As you've probably already discovered, the format of ACCOUNTNG.DAT is rather hideous. I've got a very old example in FORTRAN (not even sure if it's up to date). Send me mail if you'd like a copy.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;  Depending on exactly what you're trying to achieve, some combination of the ACCOUNTING command and SEARCH may be a simpler option.</description>

      <description>Hi John, I already  have a DCL version which provides the output required. I just spent some time using C flipping bits and calling system routines, so I though while I am in programming mode I'd be a bit more adventurous.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
