Openvms Itanium detached processing crashing

Hi

I wonder if anyone could help. We recently converted our system from an old alphaserver 1200 running Openvms 7.1 (app written in Dec C) to an Itanium box 2620 running 8.2.1. Eveything compiled and linked ok but we're periodically experiencing problems with a number of detached processes. The process seem to die inexplicably without any *.out or *.err files being produced. The only clue seems to be a process termination status in accounting. The termination status being 7B0051CO which of course is not a recognised message

"%NONAME-W-NOMSG, Message number 7B0051C0"

Anyone any ideas of how I might be able to track and solve this problem. e.g. Software tools

Jeff,

the value 7B0051C0 looks more like a P1 space address than like a status code. Can you try to start the deatched process with /DUMP to see, if it would create a process dumpfile ?

There might be an audit message (otherwise enable logfail).

Concurrent access to input files ? Files to be executed generated with non-unique names ? Quotas ?
