Tim,

can you please specify the relevant versions which you are using (ACMS, OpenVMS, ALPHA/Itanium/Vax)?

Duncan
We have an application which calls ACMS tasks using acms$start_call_a - and has been working fine, until a relink and we now get

%ACMS-E-SECURITY_CHECK, Security check failed

The only mention anywhere is in the SYS$HELP:ACMSRUN.MEM which suggests it is due to distributed processing, which we aren't doing. The task is simple with no i/o

Has anyone seen this, or can suggest where a proper explaination can be found?

Thanks
Tim

Sorry, that would have been helpful
Alpha, ACMS 4.4B DEV, VMS 7.3

Additional information after a few hours investigation: the same submit code used to submit when I/O is involved appears to work. I am explicitly setting the tid to a value of 0.

After rather a distraction we found the problem, someone had deleted the call to log into ACMS before calling the task, so quite rational that there is such a message! Just not very obvious from the explaination in the doc!
