I want to add the "LOG_OPTION=ADDRESS" to my TELNET service, (so that TT_ACCPORNAM includes the IP address, and not the hostname).

When I execute the command

TCPIP> set service TELNET /Log_Opt=address

The command is accepted (i.e. no errors), however show service/full does not show the option added!!

Do I have to cycle telnet to make this happen??

Dave.

Dave,

to change an option of the TELNET service, you have to disable and re-enable the service. This will cause all existing TELNET sessions to be disconnected.

Volker.
