Steph,
I guess if you have some problem may be your system has too low channelcnt; perhaps you should execute autogen make this change.

Antonio Vigliotti
Steph,

There are resource limits, but they're probably MUCH higher than the number of printers you could afford to buy!

I've seen systems with in excess of 10,000 queues.

Steph,

I don't know of a limit. I used to manage a system that had at least 5,000 queues, that's when someone came up with the bright idea of passing them all over to a windows nt 4 machine to handle printing -- and that server did have a limit couldn't handle that many queues....windows don't you just love it!!! That;s when I handed everything back to the VMS world for printing and it handled everything fine.

Good luck with the research on finding a limit to the number of queues.

Mike

Steph,
I have handled servers in excess of 5000 print queues and i am not aware of any limit that exists on the no. of print queues that can be configured on a VMS server

rgds
Mobeen
