What version of PATHWORKS 32?

>>it writes says something about not
>>being able to set a PCSA environment
>>variable.

Can you get us the exact error message? It makes it a lot easier to search the internal databases if I know the exact phrase to search for.

Brad McCusker
When I install PWRK32 Licence Manager on a Windows 2000 machine, it renders the Network Properties option unusable.

When you try to get into it, say to change the IP address, the window just crashes and returns you back to the Desktop.

Has anyone else seen this and knows how to fix it?

The log file it writes says something about not being able to set a PCSA environment variable.

All help appreciated.

Rob.

A colleague managed to find a solution to the problem, by deleting a specific registry key. Here is the synopsis :-

http://www.mcse.ms/archive43-2004-1-335075.html

It looks like this is a generic Windows problem, but I suspect itâ s being caused by the method we're using to install Pathworks.

Anyway, thanks for the help. Hope it's of some use.

Rober

Rob,
I suspect Pathwork32 installation has created this problem.
If your trouble is only the PCSA environment variable, you can increase this space; now I'm not sure how do this because I haven't got a PC with Windows 2000 in front of me but I believe you can find this fetaure in Control Panel, then Administration Tools.
May be the binding of protocol doesn't work. You can remove NetBios (or NetBeui) protocol and restart; in some circumstances NetBios of Pathwork32 can't work.
I guess you can also uninstall Pathwork32 and reboot without problem.
Post the Pathwork32 version for furthermore help.
Merry Xmas!

Antonio Vigliotti
