Configuring IP address on LN17

Has anyone successfully changed the IP address on a LN17 printer? (Yes, I know this is an old printer, but since budgets are small we have to do the best with what we have).
I have a LN17 that I need to connect to our network, but it's IP is a completely different segment. I cannot seem to find any printer documentation that describes configuring the IP address.

Brad,

Don't know about configuring the LN17 but, is it
a possibility to set up a secondary IP address on
whatever it is that is talking to it? At least it
will be able to see it.

Brad,

Another thought, although I am not familiar with
the LN17...
Does it have a builtin network connection or is
it connected via some sort of print server?
Either way, configure something else on the network
to be in the same subnet, telnet to the device and
hopefully you will have access to some sort of
configuration menu.
There are numerous printers that work like this.
Sometimes the default telnet port can be used,
and sometimes another port must be used.

Dave / Bojan,

Appreciate the responses. Although the documents didn't provide exactly what I was looking for, both of your responses got me started down the telnet track. This particualr printer has an XNIC module (as opposed to a DNIC), but works, I imagine, much the same. I connected the printer to a mini hub and from a PC (also connected to the hub) telnet'd to the IP address. NOTE: I had to change the IP address on the PC to match was was configured on the printer). The telnet session logged me in to the printer configuration interface which allowed me to change the IP (had to "DEFINE" the new IP and restart the printer).
