Is there a command equivalent to the Alpha console command: "set ewa0_mode " to set the LAN card on an RX2600 to 100BaseTX, full duplex and disable auto-negotiate?

Natalie,

I don't have my rx2600 doc handy at this instant, but remember that there are frequently TWO LAN interfaces on an rx2600: one for the management console and one for the actual system.

The management console LAN adapter is definitely controlled by the setup tools for the management console. The other adapter should be too, but the exact commands escape me (the help text on the console is usable, but a bit hard to get used to).

- Bob Gezelter, http://www.rlgsc.com

Natalie,
there is no command to set NIC card on rx2600. On HP Tools CD-ROM, there is a directory fs0:\efi\tools\network the command ifconfig but don't know the exact syntax.

Antonio Vigliotti
Natalie,

There is no equivalent in the EFI, or elsewhere, to the Alpha console command "set ewa0_mode". The best you can do is to define the speed and mode from LANCP.

$ MC LANCP
LANCP> DEFINE DEVICE EWA0/SPEED=100/NOAUTO/FULL

See also:

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=675002

Regards,

Kris (aka Qkcl)
