DEChub 900 Multiswitch Ethernet

I Have a DEChub that contains six FDDI concentrators. The FDDI rings are not part of any network - they are special purpose connections to specific hardware items. Can I use a DECserver 90M and its 10BaseT port to bring Ethernet into the hub to:
1. monitor the hub via HubWatch, and
2. connect to 10Base2 devices with the DECrepeater?

No, you can NOT use a DECserver 90M and its 10BaseT port to bring Ethernet into the hub. DECserver 90M is just a terminal server, not repeater, so this port is used for connecting server to ethernet when not in DEChub.
It has been a very long time when I had DEChub 900 Multiswitch so I am not sure if I remember those things well. You should have some ethernet device in hub to bring ethernet to hub (some kind of repeater or VN switch).

I can confirm what Vladimir said. In addition, the Ethernet device must be capable of acting as management agent for Hubwatch. Most 900 modules can do that, but most 90 modules cannot, AFAIK.

Hi James, we have a VNswitch 900EF which we connect 2xDECserver90M to, then onto an FDDI ring.
