POP3/SSL error log

Does anybody know what this message is complaining about? It occurs exactly once a minute.

A quick Google on your message brings up quite a few hits. From the first one:

"CAPA is the command that Eudora issues to the mail server to check if it supports SSL (Secured Sockets Layer) connections. If the mail server doesn't support the CAPA command and SSL connections this error will appear in the mail server logs, not in Eudora. "

Reading a few of the others and piecing it together ... looks like an email client is asking if the POP3 server is supporting enhanced CAPAbilities and the message is indicating no. Check your SSL config?

I believe the event which triggers the message is CSWB V1.7.13 querying the user's VMSmail file on a one-minute timer.

I'm afraid I don't know enough about SSL to know if it's truly misconfigured, or if the POP3 server is just being verbose in logging of this event.

Perhaps someone else who uses these applications could check their log....
