Using Windows hosts, I can send a generic trap to the OSEM host and I will see it in the notification list of OSEM. I have no idea, how to generate such a generic trap from OpenVMS, so that I can validate the snmp configuration. I played a lot with the VMS "snmp_trapsnd" and "snmp_traprcv" tools, have configured VMS snmp setting like it is described in the OpenVMS Networking Manual, but I can't see any trap on the OSEM host. If I send a trap using the "snmp_trapsnd" utility to a OpenVMS host running the "snmp_traprcv" utility, I see exactly what I send but an OSEM host won't show me any information.
