Is there any downloadble X-server softwares available specifically for Open VMS. Now I'm using X-Manager software.it works. but i need to confirm one issue with x-windows. i tried using Hummingbird exceed. but i couldn't start a passive connection from Exceed to open VMS. so this comes up with error to set the display variable properly.

any suggestions for the X-server softwares??

VMS of course has it's X server: DECWindows-Motif.

But from the rest of the question I see You mean the X server on Your Windows PC.
Exceed I think have no issue vs. VMS, many people use it.
What do You mean with "open a passive connection" ? What do You really do ? Open a telnet/ssh/rsh/rexec session to VMS and start a X11 program then ? Or open a session using XDM ?
If the error is about the "display variable", how do You set it (using explicit SET DISPLAY) ?
