RPC failing

hi our RPC programs are not working on a box and I am investigating the cause. The one thing i noticed that certain tcpip services are missing and one of them is TCPIP$BIND.
My question is does this service is needed for RPC calls to work ?

What does this mean? What, exactly, is
missing from what?

"not working" is not a useful problem
description.

the tcp$bind service was missing but i just noticed that its disabled on the server where RPC is working so thats not a issue.

the error i am getting is :
ORA-20104: -28576ORA-28576: lost RPC connection to external procedure agent

The VMS and Oracle versions here might be
interesting. Have you tried a Web search
for, say, "ORA-28576"?

issue resolved ,it was programming error .
