I have a decserver 91L+ connected through our network with a printer port defined as lta9003. I have a spooled print queue defined on the itanium system which will print a report file fine if I use a Print/queue command to the print queue. If I copy a report file to the printer with a copy command, I will get the following error and it will not spool to the printer.%COPY-E-CLOSEOUT, error closing LTA9003: as output

-RMS-E-DAC, ACP file deaccess failed during $CLOSE

-SYSTEM-F-NOTPRINTED, failed to queue spool file for print

I can access the same port off the decserver through a microvax 3100 runing vms 6.1 and the copy command works fine. I have an hp print library and form set the same on both systems, but only the mv3100 will print without error.I will get the same results if I open the port as an output device from a program application when the program closes the device. I don't know if something has changed under VMS or if there is some other configuration issue when spooling to a print queue to this type of decserver. This same decserver allows user logins for the ports configured that way without a problem off the itanium system.

$ show queue /full

What does it say for /PROCESSOR? It should be LATSYM.

Spooled device full ?
Spooled to a queue that is no longer existing or the disk is not mounted ?
