Hi,

yup, you do need a higher FW revision. This should be available via

http://www.hp.com/support/itaniumservers

As far as I can tell current versions are 2.29 and E2.31.

Greetings, Martin

Hi,

I have a rx2600 that has two disks. One disk has hpux and on the other I would like to install ovms 7.3.
Anybody has done something similar. Is there any special trick ? Do you know where I can get some procedure to achieve this install. I believe you cannot have both oses running at the same time; but I will be happy if I can have hpux and shutdown boot out of efi into ovms. thank you all for your help.

I believe you will have to obtain a copy of VMS V8.1 (I think that is the latest available, I do not work with any IA64 systems yet). VMS V7.3 will not support the IA64 systems to my knowledge. You can go to this link to learn about the V8.1 release:

http://www.hp.com/products1/evolution/alpha_retaintrust/openvms/
