Matt,

It's a bug. Each reboot will increase the CPU count by the number of CPUs on the system. Hmmm, maybe we could call it a feature? Reboot count?

Anyway, fixed in next release of Availability Manager which should come out with V8.2 (real soon now! ;-)

Hello Group,

Being a diligent (!) system manager I have upgraded AMDS/Availability manager to the latest version.
Wow - process count and percentage used display, and Active CPUs display.
Except that my dual cpu systems display ok, but my little SINGLE cpu DS25's now display active cpus as 1/3 ( 1 of 3).
Why is this ? Anyone know ? Not vital, just a little irritating.

Thanks,

Matt

Congratulations John for this marvelous fix: replace cpu count by reboot count !

:-)

thanks for the good laugh

It is easier than the real fix in the code, just replace a text buy another one

We use Availability Manager 2.4 - 4/28/2004 as client on W2K and DEC AMDS 7.3-2 on OpenVMS 7.3-2. Our DS25 reports 1/1 CPU... Even after reboot of windows or VMS...
