Alpha June '05 'Condist' missing Disk 2!

Anyone else opened their June '05 Alpha software product library kit? I was missing disk 2 of 9.

This is in Australia.

I have already been onto HP about this and they
acknowledge the problem and will be shipping the
missing CD soon...

By George, you're right. Mine arrived last week (I'm in Melbourne) but I hadn't bothered to open the box. I have now and I find I'm missing disk 2 as well.

I only spotted it because I copy all the disks down onto local disk so it's always available to me. My routine asked for 'Disk 2' and it wasn't there! I looked around my desk, confirmed in my own mind that it was I that had taken off the shrink wrap ...

You're correct. The disk is missing from the Bill Of Materials. For once I'm ahead of you! I reported this last week. Logistics are working out what went wrong and how to fix it. Though it actually took Dave's report to come in to make them move a bit quicker. Hopefully the missing disk will be shipped soon.

The disk HAS shipped in other geographies, it seems to be just Asia pacific where it's missing.

Moral - if something is wrong, please tell us!

sitting in the corner after they had everything

If you need a specific software from that disk, you surely know that you can download it via:

using the username/password supplied in your distribution.

I did both; I logged a local call and at the same time started this thread ... David's initial response to the thread beat one of your colleagues phone response to my logged call ... but only by about 5 minutes!

I knew of the site; but not of the username/password fact; I will check and see if it is supplied to me.

That said, my process is to check the update for 'updated' or 'new' products to see if they are of relevance to my site; in the case there's nothing of relevance anyway.

the username/password for the download site are on one the many pieces of paper that arrive with the CDs - search carefully - its in there somewhere.
