Mike,

The binary formats and instruction sets are different on each platform. An executable for one architecture will not run on a different architecture, unless one is running an emulator.

I do not offhand remember if TSM is available in source. Since it DOES run on Alpha, you could attempt to translate it using the Image Translator.

I hope that the above is helpful.

- Bob Gezelter, http://www.rlgsc.com

Is there a version of TSM that is supported on the IA-64. I've tried the ones that I am using on my 4000-90s and Alphas but they don't work on the Integrity. Please help.

Since TSM is no longer a supported product, an IA64 version is unlikely.

I've tried a translation using AEST and it uncovers no errors, but since I have no IA64 system at hand, I can't test it.

An alternative could be the AccessServerManager from DNPG running on a windows plattform. But it only can speak TCPIP. Its controlfiles are nearly 100% compatible to TSM controlfiles.

regards Kalle
