Sini,

welcome to the OpenVMS ITRC forum.

Old OpenVMS VAX V5.5-2 or V5.5-2H4 patches can only be found on the old OpenVMS patch pages from the CSC in Sidney, Australia:

http://ftp.support.compaq.com.au/

For V5.5-2H4 patches look at:

http://ftp.support.compaq.com.au/pub/ecoinfo/ecoinfo/v552h4.htm

You would want to look at SCSI patches like VAXSCSI03_061. Carefully check prerequisites and dependencies for those old patches.

Volker.

I located the vaxback4_u2055 by looking on the ITRC at:

http://www2.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/mainPage.do

At the bottom of that page, I clicked on the find archived patches. Then I clicked on the OpenVMS for VAX: 5.X and scrolled through the resulting list.

You should be able to just run the kit on VMS and it will extract the saveset files. The only problem would be if they kitted the file on a newer version of VMS and the run command fails, but hopefully that is not the case.
