      <description>After power failure [abnormal shutdown]the system unable to boot please help,if i press the halt button it able to be on the console &lt;BR /&gt;prompt P00&amp;gt;&amp;gt; or else the following messages appear disk space problem.       <description>It seems, as if your systemdisk is full.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try to boot minimal or from CDROM and check,&lt;BR /&gt;which files are occupying the spacse, perhaps a batchjob filled up its logfile or someone enabled all auditing...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt; b -fl 0,1&lt;BR /&gt;SYSBOOT&amp;gt; set startup_p1 "MIN"&lt;BR /&gt;SYSBOOT&amp;gt; continue&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regards Kalle</description>

      <description>Thanks for the reply, as I said earlier system stops at the message -SYSTEM-F-IVDEVNAM, invalid device name&lt;BR /&gt;none of the keys working , cursor remain blinking &lt;BR /&gt;1. I cannot login to system&lt;BR /&gt;2. PURGE not work&lt;BR /&gt;3.       <description>Thanks for ur kind help,&lt;BR /&gt;The note provided help me a lot and solved my problem , after deleting some files and restart the system still taking the parameters given in the note provided but if use SYSBOOT&amp;gt;use default&lt;BR /&gt;               continue&lt;BR /&gt;it started successfully....&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks again for kind support.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Best Regards&lt;BR /&gt;Syed Moin</description>

      <description>Syed,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;With your system up and running again, you might want to install the FREEWARE utility DFU V2.7A and use the command&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;$ DFU SEARCH SYS$SYSDEVICE:/SIZE=MIN=10000&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;to find all of the files that are of a significant size on your system disk.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Of course, this doesn't find the files where you may have accumulated a large number of small files.  There are ways to find those too.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I don't know if DFU will do something like this, but I like the command:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;$ DIRECTORY SYS$SYSDEVICE:[*...]*.*;-100&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This will find all files that have at least 100 versions.  Or you could use 50 as a starting point.  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Robert</description>

      <description>I justed tested a minimal boot with a full system disk.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Indeed there are messages about disk full but I was able to login and delete the file.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Your mail problem has something to do with a bad boot setup : something that is started in an incorrect place.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Wim</description>
