PacerShare or Alisa systems / Advanced server

This is just for fun

Does anybody remember using PacerShare and Alisa systems before Pathworks for the Mac.

At my last site Advance Server was a big problems after upgrading from V5. It just brought our cluster to its knees interms of file server services. I think this was due to the overhead of trust relationship data being added to the packets etc... comments?

support for Mac is not avaiable on Pathwork V6. Simply it doesn't work.
If you need appletalk you have to restore V5.
Sorry, I don't know neither PacerShare neither Alisa.

I've no knowledge of the MAC products.

As for V6 vs V5 - there were problems, but, the latest revs (Advanced Server V7.*) are a significant improvement (although they won't help you on the MAC side - as was said, MAC went away in V5).
