After installing DCPS V2.4, print queues are not started. We tried to stop the print symbiont, but still not unalbe to restart print queue. We have to keep stop and start print queue a number of times till finally started. Does anyone know any solution to fit this issue ?

%%%%%%%%%%% OPCOM 20-OCT-2005 19:39:00.07 %%%%%%%%%%%
Message from user SYSTEM on TXPSA3
Process SYMBIONT_1227: %DCPS-F-STREAMUSE, Request 4 for Stream Id 3 ignored; not
consistent with symbiont state

%%%%%%%%%%% OPCOM 20-OCT-2005 19:39:00.11 %%%%%%%%%%%
Message from user QUEUE_MANAGE on TXPSA3
%QMAN-I-QUENOTSTART, queue P22491 could not be started on node TXPSA3

%%%%%%%%%%% OPCOM 20-OCT-2005 19:39:00.11 %%%%%%%%%%%
Message from user QUEUE_MANAGE on TXPSA3
-QMAN-I-QUEAUTOOFF, queue P22491 is now autostart inactive

%%%%%%%%%%% OPCOM 20-OCT-2005 19:39:00.11 %%%%%%%%%%%
Message from user QUEUE_MANAGE on TXPSA3
-SYSTEM-F-ABORT, abort

%DSVE_MGT-E-QUEJBC, Error creating/modifying queue P22491
-SYSTEM-F-ABORT, abort
The foloowing is fomr the DCPS G2.5 Fieldtest Releasenote:

1.2.1 Problems Starting Queues and Deleting Jobs

F2.5

In DCPS V2.3 and V2.4, problems might arise when a Raw TCP
job was in Starting state:

o If the job was aborted with a DELETE /ENTRY command,
DCPS would take a long time to delete the job.

o If the queue was stopped with a STOP /QUEUE /RESET
command, starting this or other queues would then
sometimes fail with the following error:

%DCPS-F-STREAMUSE, Request 4 for Stream Id n ignored.
Not consistent with symbiont state

Now, starting jobs will abort quickly when requested, and
stopping the queue will not cause the STREAMUSE error when
subsequently starting queues.

Did the problem exist with an older version?
regards Kalle

We do not delete the starting print jobs. We stop and reset the print queue then start. We have to keep doing that till the print queue starts printing. Any work around suggestion ?
