      <description>I started the server with  openvms7.3-2 operating system CD.&lt;BR /&gt;P&amp;gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;boot dqa0 -flags 0,0&lt;BR /&gt;1.Install or upgrade openVMS Alpha version V7.3-2&lt;BR /&gt;2.Display products that this procedure can install&lt;BR /&gt;3.Install or update layered products&lt;BR /&gt;4.Show installed products&lt;BR /&gt;5.Reconfigure installed products&lt;BR /&gt;6.Remove installed products&lt;BR /&gt;7.Execute DCL commands and procedures&lt;BR /&gt;8.Shut down this system&lt;BR /&gt;When the system run at this step,system hang happened.The keyboard can input nothing,can only RESET the server or POWER OFF the server.&lt;BR /&gt;It happened in ES45 and ES40 server,so I think it is not the reason of Hardware,maybe the system bug,and I have NEVER met this hang when I install Openvms7.3-1.&lt;BR /&gt;Hardware:ES45(graphic radeon7500),ES40(graphic elsa)&lt;BR /&gt;Software:Openvms7.3-2&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Can anybody help?&lt;BR /&gt;olive&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>What type of keyboard/video/mouse are you using?  On some of my systems (Alpha 800 and DS10) with a Compaq Server Console KVM, I found that after the system comes to the &amp;gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt; prompt after power up or after system shutdown, if I don't do an "extra" &amp;gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt; init command, I experience your symptoms, ie. no keyboard when the system comes up.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Cheers,&lt;BR /&gt;Art</description>
