    <description>Miles,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I would not expect the memory to influence the DSSI controller, but who knows.&lt;BR /&gt;You may try to remove the memory and check, if the controller is visible. Maybe the powercycle just killed it.&lt;BR /&gt;Do you see the DSSI controller with no disks connected or is also the controller itself unvisible?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regards Kalle</description>

      <description>We replaced the memory board on our vax 4500. &lt;BR /&gt;At the chevron prompt&amp;gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt; show dev&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It doesn't see any of the dia devices. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The Admin can't boot to dia0. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Bootstrap failure? It sees the dib devices but not the dia devices? Why? The disks are green. Does anyone have any suggestions ? &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks!&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Check the connections on the DIA bus and the terminators. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Was anything moved during the replacement of the memory card? &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;DSSI is very sensitive and it is possible to break the DSSI interface on the VAX  by disconnectng cables with the power on.</description>
