One of our Admins called and said that all of their check printer queues using multinet are stalling when printing. They have to reset the queues, reboot the printer or icon boxes and still is happening? Any suggestions? I called our Network people and they don't think it is a netowrk problem.

This is on a VAX 7000-630 running V7.3
Multintet V5.0 Rev A-X,

Miles,

This printer was working earlier?, or any changes done in the printer?.

Incase any power down/power cycling will also stall the printer.

Archunan

Miles,

Have you tested the above commands, any response from the printer, if not try this command as most of the printer will respond to SNMP.

$ MULT SHOW/SNMP=IP/CONN/STAT

Also consider upgrading your printer firmware.

Archunan
Are these printers being used by other OSes? (i.e. windows)

We have experienced the same thing at times.
Have you checked the Multinet patches to see if there is any updates?
