Miles,

I concur with the info so far.

But, if your interest is VMS-specific (and most of Decus used to be pretty VMS-centric) then there now is the OpenVMS BOOTCAMP.
It compares to the old Decus symposia, but
- fully oriented towards VMS
- more intense
- more in-deep

It is held once a year in Nashua (late spring). Consider: it is held THERE, and only there, because it is at walking distance from ZKO, the home of Engeneering
The WHOLE of Engeneering is available for any specific issue you might want to discuss, in any depth THEY can go.

Announcements are (a.o.) in THIS forum, usually about february.

(last year 5 of top-10 VMS forum participants were there, as were the year before).

See you there, perhaps?

Proost.

Have one on me.

jpe

Encompass (the user group formerly known as DECUS) is a participant.

Last year, the Forum was scheduled for New Orleans, but Hurricane Katrina interferred. It was rescheduled for Orlando.

This year, the forum is in Houston, Texas, September 17-21, to be precise.

- Bob Gezelter, http://www.rlgsc.com
Look at http://careerbuilder.com/ and http://openvmsplanet.org/ for VMS jobs and info. As noted above, the VMS Bootcamp in NH is now the in depth under the hood conference. The HP Technology forum covers all product lines and includes marketing information.

See http://h71000.www7.hp.com/symposium/index.html for a link to the (now past) 2006 Bootcamp.

Andy
Miles,

from your Forum Profile:

<QUOTE>
I have assigned points to 126 of 235 responses to my questions.
</QUOTE>
Your profile show more than a full page of questions with unassigned answers!

Maybe you can find some time to do some assigning?

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/helptips.do?#33

Mind, I do NOT say you necessarily need to give lots of points. It is fully up to _YOU_ to decide how many. If you consider an answer is not deserving any points, you can also assign 0 ( = zero ) points, and then that answer will no longer be counted as unassigned.
Consider, that every poster took at least the trouble of posting for you!

To easily find your streams with unassigned points, click your own name somewhere.
This will bring up your profile.
Near the bottom of that page, under the caption "My Question(s)" you will find "questions or topics with unassigned points " Clicking that will give all, and only, your questions that still have unassigned postings.

Thanks on behalf of your Forum colleagues.

PS. - nothing personal in this. I try to post it to everyone with this kind of assignment ratio in this forum. If you have received a posting like this before - please do not take offence - none is intended!

Proost.

Have one on me.

jpe
