Yes because the controller changes the value itself when battery gets bad.

Wim

Dear All,

Is it possible to disbale nowriteback cache on the controller when the restore is currently happening ? Is this parameter dynamic ?

I am seeing drastic reduction in the performance of the restore of one of the disks due to which I would like to enable writeback cache.

Cheers,
Iman

What about:

1. Connect to controller through the CLI
CLI SET <UNIT name="" nowriteback=""></UNIT>
2. Restore

3. Connect to controller through the CLI
CLI SET <UNIT name="" writeback=""></UNIT>
for all previous WRITEBACK enabled units that were disabled
Dave,

I have done that, but what I want to know is does the change to writeback caceh be performed while the restore is running ?

Cheers,
Iman
