Is there any way to see how many batch jobs were executed on any particular day?

Accounting - if its enabled

$ACC/PROC=BATCH/SINCE=1-SEP-2006/BEFORE=2-SEP-2006

$SHOW ACCOUNT to see what is enabled

note that the /SUMMARY qualifier supplies the required number without listing each single one of them.
