    <description>&lt;BR /&gt;at the HSG80&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;add spare &lt;NEW disk=""&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If that doesn't start a rebuild, check the replacement policy on the mirror set with:  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;show mirror &lt;YOUR name=""&gt; and look for the "policy = " setting.       <description>Hi, &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;We have a failed disk in a mirrorset.&lt;BR /&gt;The failed disk is moved to failed set.&lt;BR /&gt;I have deleted the failedset, replaced the failed disk and initialized this disk.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How do I add this back to the mirror set ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks in advance for all your suggestions.&lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;Kaushik</description>

      <description>&lt;BR /&gt;As a rule, I prefer to configure disks in the spare at all times.  In the event of a failed disk, a raid unit will rebuild without intervention.  Replacement disks can assigned as spare set members.  You'll want to track shelf and scsi channel assignments to minimize single points of failure and optimize performance.  This will reduce the window of vulnerability while running a raid-1 mirrorset with only 1 physical disk as a member.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Andy</description>

      <description>Thanks a lot for your suggestion Andy.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have succesfully replaced the faulty disk.&lt;BR /&gt;And HSG has added the new disk to the mirrorset.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks and regards&lt;BR /&gt;Kaushik</description>
