not new alpha workstations can often be bought in various places even ebay.

There are resellers who sell new hp hardware including Itanium systems. Ask your local hp office.

Last date for ordering new Alphas is October this year -- but there are used ones available.

See www.hoffmanlabs.com for useful information on suitable hardware for personal use. IslandCo are relatively cheap (for a company) and reliable. www.islandco.com

suitable hardware does appear on ebay from time to time but a lot of it is in USA and the shipping costs may be too much.

Ask around for companies disposing of their VMS systems.
