what is the last version of OpenVMS?
My box is a alpha model DS10 and is running a v7.2-1.

OpenVMS 8.2 is the latest release for Alphaserver systems. There is an 8.2-1 release which adds support for addtional Itanium systems.

Your 7.2-1 release is out of service. Which isn't really the end of the world for an OpenVMS system, but can be a business consideration. See http://h71000.www7.hp.com/openvms/roadmap/openvms_roadmaps.htm for information about support.
