C++ Compiler for OpenVMS 8.3 i64

Greetings,

Does anyone here know if the C++ Code Compiler was included in the Media kit for the OpenVMS 8.3 i64?? I just like to know while waiting for my VAR whip up a quote.

Based on what I see in the SPD, it's on the Operating Environment media kit. Your VAR should be aware of the packaging, as well, and around FTP kit download options that can be available from HP.

From the C++ Software Product Description (SPD):

HP C++ OpenVMS I64 ONLY:
HP C++ for OpenVMS I64 is available on the Layered Products media within the Operating Environment package. The Layered Products media includes the product binaries and on-line documentation. An optional hardcopy documentation kit is also offered.

SOFTWARE WARRANTY
HP C++ for OpenVMS I64 ONLY:
Software Licenses:
Concurrent Use: BA349AC
Software Media:
Foundation Operating Media, BA322AA or
Enterprise Operating Media, BA323AA or
Mission Critical Media, BA324AA
Software Documentation (Hard Copy): BA349MN

An example of a new order for HP C++:
Concurrent Use License - BA349AC
Binaries: Operating Environment Media - BA32*A

Hardcopy Documentation Kit (Optional) BA349MN

If you are a member of the DSPP and order the OpenVMS I64 kit from them then it does include the compiler kits.

The OS kit does not include the compilers.

Thank you. This is exactly what I needed to get started. I was able to find the compiler (CXX) on disk #1.

Does the standard C compiler exist on Integrity servers anymore or just C++??

there is a C complier for OpenVMS I64 V7.2

and a recent patch for it available in

Note also that company member of the DSPP can download the C compiler for OpenVMS I64 (and others) from a web site.

you need to contact dspp. I have successfully downloaded the C compiler from that site.
