I just checked the kit, and the V1300 SYS kit
will have the IO_ROUTINES execlet with the newly-added item codes, but I guess that there will be no formal support for them, which is why they are now technically undocumented.

That's not a surprise, since support for V7.3-2 ended at the end of 2006.

-- Rob

While V7.3-2 is certainly eligible for PVS, we do not tend to release general-purpose patch kits once a version is off standard support.

If a customer with PVS has a problem, they'll be provided a fix, but that fix will not likely make it out for the public.

-- Rob

This function first appeared in V8.2; it's documented both in the DCL manual and in the online help. The online help has an example of its use.

For V7.3-2, it's unsupported, meaning that the customer support centre might not answer any questions about it, but as it is literally the same code for V8.2 and V8.3 (I just cut-and-pasted it), I don't expect there will be any problems with its use in V7.3-2.

-- Rob (no longer a member of VMS Engineering, but still with HP)
