Availability Manager problem.

Hi.
After openvms upgrade from 7.3-2 to 8.3 on Alpha I have error message in analyzer window on MS system.

NODE1 error executing driver program, program = NODE_SUMMARY, status = 0x20AC, PC = 0x144

Oleg,

that status code in the error message looks revealing:

0x20AC ==> %SYSTEM-F-EXCPUTIM, CPU time limit expired

HELP/MESSAGE EXCPUTIM brings up a reference to AMDS (see attachment), which is probably highly relevant.

Solution:

1.$ RUN AMDS$AM_SYSTEM:AMDS$AM_RM_DIAG

2.Look for the "Maximum branches" row under "Integer settings from AMDS$LOGICALS.COM".
Note the current value.

3.Edit SYS$MANAGER:AMDS$LOGICALS.COM, and find AMDS$RM_MAX_BRANCHES.
Set this logical to a higher value than the current one.
Try current value plus 20%.

4.Then, exit from the file and run @SYS$STARTUP:AMDS$STARTUP RESTART to load
the new value into the Data Collector (RMDRIVER on OpenVMS).
